~ DAILY NUTRITION FEEDING PROGRAM ~
Although we can support the childrens' education by providing them with school supplies, it will still prove difficult for them to focus on their studies on an empty stomach. Majority of these children work concurrently outside of school to earn money and help support the family, even at a young age. Through our feeding program, we can ensure that the children`s performance in school is optimized and therefore reflect well in their academic records.

Each nutrition pack provides the following:
A nutrition pack for one child that lasts for a whole year will only cost a total of $60! |
It is apparent that the children of Azucena are not receiving a proper amount of daily nutrients, as many show signs and symptoms of malnutrition. With the nutrition pack, these children will be receiving daily vitamins and nutrients in the daytime, 6 days of the week. The nutrition pack they will be receiving provides them with all the essential nutrients that are vital for their regulated health and maintenance of their bodies.
~ CHILDREN'S SATURDAY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM ~
While the YWAM Naga staff visit Azucena Sunday through Monday to distribute the nutritional drinks, the children of Azucena come to the YWAM Naga base on Saturday mornings to spend time together with the staff and visiting students.
Starting off the morning with kids`worship songs and dances, led by a time of teaching where the children can learn and talk about the stories of the bible, the children then have fun playing various games in their age groups. Hungry from running around in the heat of the sun, the children line up for their lunch provided and prepared by the Naga kitchen staff. |
This encourages the children to not only form relationships with the YWAM Naga staff, but with one another - strengthening the community with a sense of familiarity, unity, hope, and peace. By inviting the Azucena children every Saturday to a family setting, we hope to rejuvenate them with food, prayer of blessing, laughter and joy.
It is the YWAM Naga staff's desire to see the children of Azucena grow up healthy and strong.
